1. About these terms
These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the HAMI website, mobile application and related services (“HAMI” or the “Service”). By creating an account, accessing or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use HAMI.
2. What HAMI provides
HAMI is a family organisation tool. Depending on the version and features made available, it may allow you to organise documents, record expenses and income, manage budgets and recurring commitments, create reminders, search information you have added and use supported AI assistance.
Features may change, be added, suspended or removed as HAMI develops. Some features may be available only on supported devices or app versions.
3. Eligibility and your account
- You must be legally capable of entering into a binding agreement to use HAMI. If you are under the age of majority where you live, use the Service only with the involvement and permission of a parent or legal guardian, where legally permitted.
- Provide accurate account information and keep it reasonably up to date.
- Keep your sign-in credentials and device secure. You are responsible for activity carried out through your account, except to the extent caused by our failure to meet a legal obligation.
- Notify us promptly if you believe your account has been accessed without permission.
- HAMI V1 is designed around an individual account. Do not share credentials or assume that HAMI provides multi-user household permissions or shared-account controls.
4. Your content and responsibilities
You retain your rights in documents, expense details, prompts and other information you submit (“User Content”). You give HAMI permission to host, store, process, reproduce and transmit User Content only as reasonably necessary to operate the features you request, provide support, protect the Service and comply with law, as further explained in our Privacy Policy.
You are responsible for ensuring that you have the rights, authority and permissions needed to upload or process User Content, including documents containing information about family members or other people. You must not:
- upload unlawful, infringing, fraudulent or malicious content;
- use HAMI to violate another person’s privacy or rights;
- attempt to bypass authentication, access another user’s information or interfere with the Service;
- reverse engineer, disrupt, overload or introduce malware into the Service, except where such restriction is prohibited by law; or
- use HAMI for an unlawful purpose or in a way that could harm others.
5. Expenses and financial information
HAMI is an organiser and information tool, not a bank, payment service, investment adviser or financial institution. HAMI V1 does not connect to bank or UPI accounts and does not initiate payments. You enter or share expense information, and some details may be extracted from documents or receipts.
Summaries, categorisation, comparisons, anomaly indicators and forecasts are informational estimates based on available information. They may be incomplete or inaccurate and are not financial, tax, accounting or investment advice. Check important calculations and records independently before making decisions.
6. Documents and extracted information
HAMI may process uploaded documents to create searchable records, extract text or metadata, suggest categories, identify dates or support reminders. Automated extraction can make mistakes, omit details or misread documents. You must review important information and keep your own original copies where appropriate. HAMI does not verify that a document is genuine, legally valid, complete or current.
7. AI features
AI assistance and automated processing may produce inaccurate, incomplete, outdated or inappropriate results. AI output is provided for general informational and organisational assistance only. Do not rely on it as professional legal, medical, tax, financial or other regulated advice. You are responsible for checking AI output before acting on it.
Prompts, documents or other context you choose to submit may be processed by HAMI’s service providers to provide the requested feature, as described in the Privacy Policy. Do not submit information you are not authorised to share.
8. Availability, changes and support
We aim to make HAMI useful and reliable, but we do not guarantee that the Service will always be available, uninterrupted, error-free or compatible with every device. We may perform maintenance, update features, restrict access to address security or operational issues, or discontinue a feature where reasonably necessary.
For assistance, contact support@hamiapp.in.
9. Fees, subscriptions and billing
If HAMI introduces paid features or subscriptions, the applicable price, billing period, trial terms (if any), renewal, cancellation and refund conditions will be disclosed before you make a purchase and may also be governed by the relevant app store’s payment terms. No paid subscription is created merely by reading these Terms. You are responsible for reviewing purchase details before confirming a transaction.
10. Intellectual property
HAMI and its branding, design, software and related materials are owned by or licensed to the HAMI operator and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. These Terms give you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable right to use the Service for its intended purpose. They do not transfer ownership of HAMI or its underlying technology to you.
11. Suspension and termination
You may stop using HAMI at any time and may contact support to request account closure and deletion of associated information. We may suspend or restrict access where reasonably necessary to protect users, investigate suspected misuse, comply with law or address a material breach of these Terms. Where appropriate and legally permitted, we will provide notice and an opportunity to resolve the issue.
Account closure does not necessarily result in immediate removal of every record from backups or information that we are legally required or otherwise permitted to retain. See the Privacy Policy for more information.
12. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, HAMI is provided on an “as available” basis. We do not warrant that automated classifications, extracted information, reminders, calculations or AI responses will be accurate or suitable for your particular circumstances.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including rights and remedies available to consumers under applicable law. Subject to that, the HAMI operator will not be liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profits, loss of business opportunity or loss arising from your reliance on unverified user-entered or AI-generated information, to the extent permitted by law.
13. Privacy
Your use of HAMI is also subject to our Privacy Policy, which explains how information is handled. Please read it before uploading documents or using AI features.
14. Changes to these Terms
We may revise these Terms to reflect changes to HAMI, our operations or applicable law. We will update the “Last updated” date and provide notice where required. If you continue to use HAMI after revised Terms take effect, the revised Terms will apply to the extent permitted by law.
15. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are subject to the laws of India. Courts with competent jurisdiction in the place of the HAMI operator’s principal place of business in India will have jurisdiction, subject to mandatory consumer protections and applicable law. The operator’s principal place of business must be confirmed and inserted before public launch.
